NEW EP AVAILABLE NOW!
Born in Taos, New Mexico into a musical family, Bardo’s passion for music was developed at a very early age. Family members playing live music was common when Bardo was young and much of his passion and enthusiasm for music, especially the guitar, was due to those experiences as a youth. At the age of 9, Bardo began to learn to play the guitar from family and friends. This spark grew into the fire that would fuel his life.
As a teen, Bardo would continue to study music by participating in school groups such as the marching band, conjunto band, church choir, and mariachi.
Bardo began to perform professionally in many different groups outside of school which featured a variety of styles including: Rock, Metal, New Mexican, Country, Jazz and Pop. This time spent gigging proved to be valuable and laid the foundations for Bardo to be comfortable on stage and to learn the craft of performing.
Bardo has been teaching guitar professionally since 2002. At Cibola High School, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Bardo has established a fine career of guitar pedagogy and instruction in which many of his students have gone on to make music careers themselves as performers and instructors. To this day Cibola High School is renowned for their guitar and AP music theory programs.
